FBI Special Agent Julie Ann Davidson isn’t assigned the case, but she works it anyway because she knows the Collins family. Add in a baffling case of internet thievery, and Ann and her partner, Patrick Duncan, have plenty to think about.
Who took the Collins family and why?
One thing’s certain: time is running out.
If Ann and Patrick don’t work fast, Rachel Collins and her kids will die.
Interview with the Author:
Q: What makes the Heartfelt Cases series special?
A: Heartfelt Cases is a mystery/suspense series featuring a pair of FBI agents handling some very personal cases. It fits in the Christian mystery niche, and most reviewers agree it hits that mark without being preachy. It’s Christian because the characters happen to be believers. That’s it. They’re normal people with a crazy job that sometimes dumps a heap of trouble on their doorstep. Life’s full of ups and downs. Most of our stressors won’t almost kill us, but hopefully, many people can relate to the desire to handle stressful situations with a measure of peace and grace.
Q: What order should I read them in?
A: They’re designed so that you should be able to read them in any order as standalones, but you’ll get the richest flow of side events from reading:
The Collins Case
The Kiverson Case
The Davidson Case
The Keres Case
The Quinn Case (This is a short prequel that will be available shortly. It was first in Where the Light May Lead, a Christian anthology. My philosophy of prequels is shifting. I think they’re more useful as enhancements to further get to know characters you’ve already met.)
Q: Where does this book fit in the series? What theme(s) make it special?
A: The Collins Case is Book 1. This is where we meet the dynamic duo of Ann and Patrick as well as their close friends. (She goes by Ann. Only her mother calls her Julie Ann.) One of my narrators recently pointed out that I have a thing for kidnapping. I guess if you read the book description, you probably agree with her.
Q: Why should readers check out this series?
A: These are super clean, kid and adult-safe mysteries. If you’re looking for gritty, this probably ain’t it. If you’re looking for a quick, light mystery fix, then I have a story to tell you.
Q: Can the reader get the whole series at once?
A: The first three cases are novellas that are combined in Heartfelt Cases Books 1-3. The 4th case is a full novel that’s available separately. Check out my website for news of future bundles.
Invisible burglars who take nothing, but frighten the cat at meal times? This is hardly a case worthy of newly-promoted Chief Inspector Morgan. But when valuable jewels go missing and an attempt is made on Blandthorpe Fargenstropple’s life, Morgan jumps into action with keen interest. Of course, it helps that Blandthorpe’s niece looks nothing like a gargoyle.
With a quirky cast of characters, witty banter, a little romance, more than a fair sampling of animal life, and plenty of ridiculous mishaps, this cozy mystery will challenge your ability to read in any sort of dignified manner–so grab a tray of tea and crumpets and plan to laugh out loud.
“What an amusing, entertaining mystery. I so enjoyed the British-ness and the humor.” ~ Mimi Barbour, NY Times and USA Today best-selling author
“Farce is hard. Farce that is energetic without being exhausting is harder. Farce that is coupled with clever dialogue and disarmingly perceptive observational humor may be the hardest of all. You get all of that here, and isn’t that a wonderful treat?” ~ TOP 500 Amazon Reviewer
“A wickedly funny mystery. It is a relatively quick and light read that will have you laughing from beginning to end.” VINE VOICE Amazon Reviewer

Next Door Neighbors is the second in the Neighbors series, however, it is a completely standalone novel. You’ll find a strong attraction between the two main characters right in the first chapter, but nothing that will make you cringe or feel guilty reading about. This novel has an underlying message of what true love is all about, and is perfect for anyone that loves a good, clean romance without all the sex.
